Has anyone tried having stripes on their 8? I'm considering trying red stripes on a black 8. Something sort of like this Black mustang. What are your thoughts on it?

Anyway, there was this guy who had a winning blue with white stripes; it looked pretty good. Although, I couldn't find the thread.

 

lol everyone hates racing stripes that much huh. I've always liked the racing stripes on the lotus elises and exiges. I understand that those are lotuses and we're talking about an rx8, but I dont get why it would look so bad on the 8. But i guess everyone has their own opinion on it lol.

if i were to do it, i'd opt for a single stripe down the center, or something, more european than american, since the twin stripe thingy belongs on vipers n mustangs

 

Some people fill in the triangle in the hood, over the roof and down the back. I don't care for it though. Maybe get someone who is good at photoshop to play around with options.

 

I HIGHLY recommend getting/borrowing an Xbox 360 and a copy of Forza 2. In that game you can custom paint anything you want on a Mazdaspeed RX-8 and look at it from any angle. Way easier to get right at any angle than Photoshop, and you can try a million combinations of stripes if you like.

Wow that looks really nice on that white 8. Do you know if its painted or if its a vinyl? Anyone wanna do a photoshop of it in black with red stripes? lol

now that i see the blue stripes on the white car, it actually looks pretty sick. I thought it'd look dumb as hell but now that I see it, I like it. No reason for those nasty pictures either.

IMO ...racing stripes and japanese sport cars don't go well together. I'd leave RS for american muscle cars.

 

i mean i am not a fan of racing stripes but it mite look good. tell us when you get it done ,good luck

So I was driving home on my way from work this afternoon in the Pensacola, Florida area... and I saw a VR 8 with white racing stripes about 10 inches wide with a 2-3 inch space up the center...


It was the most god awful hideous thing I have ever seen. I wanted to gouge my eyes out.
