Enkei LF-10 Rims on a Galaxy Gray?

Hey guys. Just curious to get the opinion of my fellow RX-8ers to see what you all think of the Enkei LF-10 18" rims on a Galaxy Gray RX-8?

Also, I was curious that it allows me to choose 18x7.5 or 18x8 as the fitment. Whats the difference? Is one better/better looking than the other?

Thanks again as always!

not sure how they would look, but the 18x8 is wider rim then 18x7.5 so u could have wider tires. i think wider tires look better and traction benefits.

Your stock wheels are 18x8.

It doesnt look like they recommend a different tire size whether its 18x8 or 18x7.5, so I assume 225/45-18 will work regardless? Is there any other difference than perhaps better traction?

So I just did some research on the whole wheel weight thing, and discovered stock rims apparently are 22 pounds, while the ones I want are 26.5 pounds. Quite honestly, I dont really race the 8 all that much, and I really have just done mods based purely on looks. Only concern I have is on performance in terms of comfort and whatnot.

Am I going to notice a ridiculous difference in how the ride feels or will it be somewhat minor? Thanks!

Work Wheels has wheels that have multi spoke like the Enkeis but they have much more aggressive offsets and lips. I would check them out if I were you. I would only go heavier if I was going bigger..... Go 19's man if you are into looks.

OK. Will definitely consider. Dont I need to have something done in terms of balancing or something if I go to a 19" rim? Something with the speedometer? How much does that service normally cost?

It don't affect it by the much but it won't be as accurate.

So mounting and balancing handles that issue of the speedometer and whatnot becoming inaccurate?

Edit: Also, I think I am going to stick with 18" anyway because the cost for new tires and and the cost of the rims themselves skyrockets with 19" and 20" rims. Part of the benefit of the wheels I am lookin at is I can use my stock tires which got plenty of tread left on the new rims and just get the winter tires on my stock rims.
