Right now they want 250 with an extra 100 on the windshield which seems rediculous to me. Anyone know cheaper? Getting 20% on the RX-8.

 

Thats the Average price around MA aparently. For some reason we get raped in price around here. You can find a few cheaper place's but those are the ones that well you get what you pay for type of people.

 

250 for tint isn't an outrageous price, for good tint.

cheaper price usually means cheaper film which translates into "looks like crap" down the road.

 

I've gotten it done in my dads truck for 150 all together (same amount of windows that I quoted to Sound FX) but they ended up moving to NH near the track. I know Sound FX does some good work but thought something may have been cheaper closer.

 

Sunset Signs & Tint on Cranston St. in Cranston, RI - right off RT 10. They rock. The tint is placed to 1/16 inch at the top of the windows. Looks great, and I believe I paid $180 for all the windows except the windshield. IMO, doing the windshield is just asking to get a ticket. (tho I'm not sure what the MA laws are)

EDIT: That price was 2 years ago, though. But I doubt it has bounced much over 200 if it's gone up at all.

 

Even so, it's 50 extra bucks in the pocket. MA laws don't matter. I'm not going to tear it off, but whatever. I just want 20% all around.

I got my car tinted at Autotuners in Malden for $150 last year. They did a good job. I believe they're still doing it for $150. If not, I can always give the owner a call.

I may want to get the windshield done but probably just the sides and rear this time around.

 

I paid 170 for mine in Plymouth.. I can get you the name if you want, its one of the only shops around here though.
