yeah, things didnt work out for me at the last minute. I had planned all week to come.

I saw that all of the forum sections about the event were devoid of any recent posts of people going to it or already at it, which is never the case with DGRR. Then I looked at the weather forecast Friday, and it said it was supposed to rain a lot all day Saturday. So I actually thought that a lot of people must not have come, perhaps due to gas prices or gas shortage, weather, etc.

 

The gas shortage made things tough, but I didn't even know how bad it was until we hit Asheville and saw lines 20+ cars deep. Hopefully you can make the next go around.

 

so..in total absence of any recent postings about the turnout, pictures, etc...how was the event? where are the pictures, and the accounts of great fun?

 

They never really gave us an official link in the "events" section (maybe we can get that added?), so I think they ended up in the photo section.
