I don't get off work until 7, and I'm about an hour away, so there's a very slim chance I'll be able to make it

Sorry I am training with some athletes from Holland this week, it is there first time to America, and I am trying to be a good host.

OK, now I definately wont be making it.

The dealership just had someone return one of their few rental cars today, so I took my 8 in to have the transmission & clutch replaced.

...my rental is quite possibly the biggest non-dualie truck I've ever laid my eyes upon; an Extended Cab Chevy Silverado Super Duty. I swear it's a used car, because I've never seen a truck sit that high with tires that knobby out of the factory.
An RX-8 is a mere speed bump to this bohemoth. There is no way in hell I'm taking this Towncar-on-Stilts on the highway!

Was good seeing everyone tonight, sorry about the parking being a little tight I promise it won't be an issue at the next meeting.

Pics posted soon.

Pretty cool pair of RX-8's showed up too... even one with some pretty peculiar modifications... :D

I did make it into town but didn't get to the meet. I did get to see and hang around the RX-8 with peculiar modifications though.

hmmm hopefully it will make it out to the next meet as well. Im really interested in how all the small changes added up. Especially in the gearing and tranny! Did a dealer bring it out?

No idea what your talking about, as far as we "know" it was just a random sighting or something.

Speaking from a non-enthusiast point of view I would say from a distance of 50 feet the exterior changes are hardly noticeable. Sure there are some nifty new additions but nothing shocking. The car was parked for a good 20-30 minutes in front of a busy restaurant and I didn't notice one passer-by even take a second look. The exterior changes are subtle and really only provide a slight change of pace compared to the previous models. The real difference is more than skin deep with these new cars as they are essentially segues into the next evolution of the RX-family. Changes under the hood and new promises of even stonger reliability will be the true test of this next RX.

That 09 model didn't have al the trims i saw online. Wish i was in the states to make it to this meet. I would've loved to see this "facelift" in person.

It actually had a lack of trim but that's what happens when you run over a raccoon!

You might be thinking about the R3 version, which is the one most generally shown in the press release photos.
