Low power recall. New manifold ordered?

Ok, so thursday morning I take my 04 model 8 into the dealership because my warranty runs out this coming month. I had a fogged up passenger side tail light, and my clutch pedal was squeaky, and I wanted to get the kit put on it to stop the milky substance I was getting on my dipstick (which they just so happened to have there because somone ordered one and never came in, lucky me), also my check engine light had JUST come on the day before, so I figured I should get it in before warranty ran out and get it all taken care of.

I get there at about 8:30, the says it shouldn't take too long, and I should be able to pick it up later that afternoon.

So I go out and get some stuff done, call him back that afternoon and the work is taking longer than expected. Big suprise right? He calls me back about an hour later and tells me that the tech is telling him that he is gonna have to pull the tranny out of the car because he cant get the clutch pedal to stop squeaking, he goes on to tell me that my engine has been put under the, "Low power recall" at this point they dont know what it is, and are gonna have to keep it overnight and finish in the morning.

The next morning I call him when I wake up, and the mechanic has decided that my manifold needs to be replaced, (He didn't specify why), I am just wondering if anyone else has had this done, or has any additional info on it.

When he first told me about the "Low power recall" I was like "YES! New engine for me!"

Any info anyone can give is much appreciated.

Dont be so happy cuz Mazda's reman are known to be "WHACK"

They should just do the MSP16 on ur car, Im pretty sure that should solve the problem.
