11 Months and the 11th hour is doing my head in

Ok,

So the car is here, PDI'd, accessories fitted and guess what?

The V55 has not turned up so the Dealer can't put my private plate on it and my Insurance Certificate is invalid as it has my private plate number on it.

Dealer has allocated a 53 plate temporarily and have called Mazda for an Insurance quote (7 days cover) but they need to call me back with the quotation reference for the dealer so that he can issue a covernote for tax purposes but that was an hour ago!! FRUSTRATION NOW!

Will I ever get my car, I can touch it but not have it

11 months of waiting but the 11th hour is killing me.

Cheers
Oilman

hold in there! I suspect I may have similar issues! Plate docs may not be here in time!

If you are starting seeing red - look away from the car! Deep breaths, wont be long now.

Just ask for the QC number. I did it and they gave it to me over the phone. Picking mine up tomorrow hopefully and I can't get the plates fitted!

Going to get a 53 number, no issue really!

oilman - At least you are only a few hours away from delivery, I've still 6 weeks or so to go.

Did you buy a 'show plate' or using standad font for your reg?

My dealer delivery date is the same as Oilman's (9th) and as yet I've had no word that it has arrived. Do they deliver on Saturdays? Slightly concerned but not panicking...

Hmmm. My car (due by the 9th) is still not at the dealer and won't be for a few days minimum. Furious! This is torture. I know it's been said a thousand times but how Mazda can't keep track of my car's whereabouts and delivery date in the 21st century is beyond credibility. As we all surmised we're not getting a delivery date AT ALL on this car. It's not like we're being given one late, we're just NOT getting one. All you people who got your cars early were very lucky but I expect there'll be a few more livid people like me to come. VERY:

Oilman, I am trusting that you will have your car by now and all is well with you.

Yes, I haven't even bothered with trying to sort out the personal plate at the same time as well. I don't mind driving a 53 plate around for a few weeks anyway (even if I can't remember it!)

Sorry to hear about your problems too.

Yes, that 7 day insurance from Mazda is a godsend isn't it?
