Accolade fenders - www.body-kit.com

Ok I had my accolade front fenders installed. I have not seen the car yet but here is what i am hearing from the shop.

Body shop says the fenders fit like crap.
Holes are NOT predrilled into the fender.
Lots if modifications to get it right.
The primer it comes with is terrible.
Fenders are flimsy
The right fender and left fit differently
Also, the mesh that covers the opening behind the wheel was wire on one side but plastic on the other.

I am not impressed and will most likely never purchase from them again.

The fenders cost me $425 with shipping.
$1500 for installation, mods and paint.

I havnt seen the car yet but installation was definitely a pain in the ***.

Just thought I would share.

yea, I heard that too but I liked the fenders so I did it. No regrets. I have the money for it...

My body kit will NOT come from accolade though. I like thier kit but I will try elsewhere.

Well, if you have the money to retro fit them then I think its worth it because they do look good. I wish accolade would redesign them better.

I will post pics as soon as I can.

Would love some close-up pics as I was considering them too despite the poor fitment.

I wish someone would make a replica of these!

I have a member's car sitting in my driveway atm awaiting insurance repairs. He has the fenders and they do look really nice. They fit like week old crap, but the look is aggressive without being over the top.

The shop should had showed you what the problems were . Some places like to exagerate the work , so of course they could over charge you a bit more . Not saying they did , but you never know.....................

Yea, your right they would'nt do that ...........

One place I went , the guy is giving me all this **** about having to cut all this and all that about making hole here and there . So I'm like this is an original shouldn't be all that bad . So of course he continues to tell me about the unexpected and alot of BS.

So I'm like how much you figure ?....... $1700 or $2000 . .................. have a nice day.

Took it to another place $800 . Everything fit perfectly , no problem what so ever.

yea I know what you mean. I know these guys and they are a custom shop. I have known them for years and I do trust them.
Hate having to pay so much but, heck, the 'silver surfer' will be a step closer to being RAD! hehe...

Yes I have pics. I just moved to a new home and my internet is not up yet. I am accessing this site from work right now. As soon as my internet is up I will post pics. Give me two days.

The body shop said that both fenders were very different. LIke they were from diff manufactureres. The grill benieth the vents was plastic on one fender and metal on the other. Sheesh.. Accolade quality is terrible.

Fitment on the drivers side was like 90%. Fitment on the passenger side was like 60%. LOTS of work.
It DOES NOT look good. Lots of space between the fender and hood. Lots of work to get it to that point.

Again, I will post pics asap.
