Painting it Black?

I have a red RX-8 with Red and Black leather interior, will it look awkward if I get it Painted black? The red just doesn't really appeal to me. What are your guys opinions? Thanks.

if you're in my area, you can just swap with my black/black leather seats

I love the two tone look. I would have gotten red/black if the car with the options I wanted had it.

are you talking about the red seats or the red car?

wrong section if you meant seats.

if he's talking about painting the car black, that'll be a hit in the pocket if he ever sells the car.

My car is red, and the seats are red black. I want to make the exterior black by painting it and im asking if I do that will it look funny with my interior? and yeah i know it will be a hit in the pocket that red just doesnt appeal to me at all now. It feels too "feminine" in the way it looks i guess. just my opinion but i dont know. hah

it wouldn't look funny. They sell black rx8s with the red/black leather interior. Generally speaking, it's not a good idea to switch car colors though. Very costly for a good job and resale value will not be as high since the color doesn't match the vin.

besides, black is hard to maintain....scratches easily....easy to see imperfections...you find yourself always waxing it everytime you wash the car or it gets dirty just to make it look good again...i know this from experience..i will never buy a black car again...looks awesome when new..but it doesn't last. i work on a lot of black cars at work, almost always trashed..even low mile ones

Try adding some eye lids. Or flames.

yeah, go trade interiors with someone.

will be free. and it wont hurt your resale value.

if you fully repaint a car, no one will absolutely believe you that the car hasnt been in a major accident.

I have a titanium gray with red/black interior and i think its really nice. if you have a red with black and red interior and want to make it look more aggressive id say go with the Seibon carbon fiber lip kit with sideskirts and hood. It will go perfect with the whole red/black theme. Also do cf eyelids, strakes, and lip spoiler. it will look very very nice.

Dont go black! Hell I dont know why I keep buying black cars... Every little thing shows from a mile away. Dents.. dings... nicks...
I'm always using black wax and paint to make the front look clean... a long with getting dents removed. SIGH... but it does look so sexy :P
