hey, I'm just wondered anyone is interested in attending the meting together representing as Rx8 club group? let's show some Renesis luv people....

 

Uh... I think we(bcrx8) beat you to it. A few of us bcrx8 members were at the Revscene meet at the A&W in Coquitlam at the end of summer. We found out last minute so only 6 of us made it. I don't think we saw any other rx8's, were you there?

 

How could you be there if the meet is on March 30th? What does last years meet have anything to do with this years?

 

Easy, I hopped into my other car which happens to be a Delorean, dialed the setting to March 30th, 2008, then I waited around for a rare Vancouver lightning storm...

I was just pointing out that local rx8s were represented at the last Revscene meet(in case nobody knew) and was wondering if Driftboi was one of the dudes who approahed our group that we met who told us they were planning to get an rx8 soon.

It would be good to get even more of us out this time and i'll definately pass the word on.

The last few meets were dominated by the bcmazda3 group. I think they had what looked like half the entire turn out to the meet. I don't suspect they'll be losing their "largest club turnout award" but from what I saw the second largest turnout wasn't much larger than our small rx8 group.

 

Civics Repersent?

 

surprisingly there were hardly any civics out last time. it seems as though the huge mazda3 following has eclipsed the "civic nation"
however, most people did say that they admired the rx8. let's all spread the word for an even better rx8 showing this time. anyone else planning on coming?

Well, at the last Revscene meet all of us rx8 owners were bcrx8 members. I don't know if Revscene will recognize members of an international online website like rx8club.com as being an official local car club.
Anyways, it won't really matter because bcmazda3 will probably have a turn out of 50 or more cars and take the largest car club turnout title again. We can just meet there as the local "rx8 group". It's always nice to meet other rx8 owners.

 

ic....hehe...yah...it's always true to meet up with local Rx8 owners.....so, u got any ppl so far??

 

Just emailed and got a reply from a few of our club's members. Our events guy will email the rest so we'll be sure to have a respectable showing.
I'll start a "planning to attend list" just because I like lists.

All local rx8's please post if you plan on helping represent!!!

Hey man, you should really try to get out of Hongcouver(Richmond) once in a while
Spanish Banks is just west of Kits and Jerico Beach on NW Marine Drive. Google map it and you'll find it.

 

Oh boy, those Point Grey joggers will have a fit on that day! LOL!

 

hahaha.....u meanie....to b honest, I don't stay in Hongcouver often cuz well..some reason..lol.....I rather stay in Vancouver or downtown area instead...

Toronto needs to have a club like you guys do... hardly anything gets done here! Also, we've been getting the nastiest winter so far, I came back to Toronto yesterday and found a 3-story high snow bank at one of the major malls. Yes.. 3 stories high!!!

So, anyone else planning on coming out to this event? C'mon lowermainland rx8s! We gotta get more people than we did last year so sign up and be counted!

 

Is everyone worried that it'll rain? Hopefully the weather will hold. If you haven't come out to meet anyone from the local rx8 community, please do come out. If it does rain we can at least go somewhere together for lunch. I suggest Jeremiah's pub on 4th and Alma.

if it rains, what is REVscene going to do? Are there still going to be people there? I'm down with whatever. I also spoke with tiffalei. She said she would try to make it if it isn't snowing.

Spanish Banks is just down the street from campus. C'mon Terry, why not take an hour break to recharge yourself and come on out? I'll buy you a hotdog! haha
But if you are in lock-down mode, we'll understand. Studying for those heavily weighted final exams was one downside that I remember of UBC life.
