I just got off work and then walked past this and was amazed, i was amazed just to see one, i would love to drive one.

 

Ahh wow. If you go north on Rampart and make a left at the second light into a set of building pull up front and make a left then look to the right parked in two spots is a silver SLR Mc. with red int. The owner is no taller than the car lol
He also owns the buildings!
He has a car colection. From a SLR Mc. to Maybach. His little Girl drives a Red Vert F450. His Boy drives a Vert/Targa Lambo VT10!!! They use to park in front of my office window lol Yeah I know sucks.

 

haha funny, i saw one driving around in santa monica today, it was silver, and going in the other direction, took me a second to realize it was a SLR hahaha

Last time i saw one of those was on Miami Beach...and low and behold none other than Scott Storch was driving...rolled my window down said "nice car" he said "thanks" and speed off...damn rich people..lol..

I have respect for the SLR, but the body styling is not as exotic as it should be.

 

I saw one about three years ago.

I was driving with my father on a small backroad (I was practicing to get my license), when I heard this sound similar to a tractor revving its engine.
Then I saw this silver SLR that overtook me; two second later it was out of sight.

Really powerul sound. Really

I know there are alot of people that don't really like that car but I'm one of the people that just thinks it's gorgeous. I've only seen one in person. The oddest thing about it to me is that the V8 sound coming from a Mercedes sounds more like an American engine rather than a nice European one. I personally think a European car should sound like one. That car has plenty of power and is definitely one to respect. The engine note is actually my only complaint about it.

Somehow the McLaren SLR doesn't excite me much as compared to an ENZO or Carrera GT. Maybe it's because there are quite common here.

 

I just really don't find them that good looking, would go for many other cars before this one

What I meant is that its engine was revving so slowly that you could nearly count every exhaust pulse. The "tractor" is the first description that came to mind.

I'm sure that at higher revs this comparison is not valid anymore
