im looking to get rid of my beater for cheap......$500 o/b/o takes it....i got a fresh set of winters in my garage for it and just wanna unload the car.....its a 1994 626 with 170k on the clock and the tranny doesnt wanna shift into overdrive (3rd gear)....it will do 50 mph though....here are some pics

If you lived closer and I wasnt in the process of buying the house I'd snag this up in a heartbeat (I sooo wanna garage the 8 for the winter next year).

 

In Calif. you can get 1000 bucks.

 

What kind of condition is it in aside from the busted tranny? How are the rest of the systems? Basically, if I fixed up the trans, how much other work would there be to get this thing to the point where someone would buy it?

 

it may need a new battery and tune up.....otherwise im throwing the tires i got in.....otherwise it should be ok.....its a cheap car and im just getting rid of it....make me an offer and take it away this weekend....

 

Is it inspected? if so, till when? will it pass again?

 

it is not inspected.....i assume it will pass but havent done it.....like i said its a cheap beater and it does run...it is not a new car and it has flaws.....that is why i am selling it at such a low price....

 

I'm looking at this as a possibility of rebuilding the trans and selling it.. my dad is a transmission rebuilder, so he could do the rebuild cheap, but the inspection is a pretty big part of the selling process.. :-/

Fixing the trans is gonna be too expensive.. the rebuild kit alone is considerably more expensive than most others, otherwise I'd be getting this. Thanks anyway

sold!......gave it to the mechanic up the block for $150

 

damn shame but that Mechanic will fix it and turn around and sell it for more people. Again wished I lived Closer Chris. Maybe next time

 

i think the inspection sticker is worth more =P
