ok. Long story short. I get to paint my car and i want it two-tone ( grey/black ) the picture attached is very close to what i was thinking but i was wondering if someone had a better idea and/or more pictures of different two-tone 8's.....the two tone job must consist of painting hood, roof, and trunk but im not sure where to make the colors meet.

and in the picture dont mind the sub. i jsut took this from another post to show what im talking about for the two tone idea

Have you tried searching? There is a lot of 2 tones, most of them are the same as the picture you posted, minus the front bumper part that's painted.

 

yea i searched two-tones. but i dont just want two tone as in carbon fiber parts switched out for normal parts . i want to paint the whole cabin including part of the bumper. or something along those lines

 

car went into the shop on monday. im going to be about 3 weeks without it but my dents are getting fixed and im doing the two tone. its going to follow the line that goes across the whole side of the car and up. and the front is going to come to the bumper and stop at the center grill. ill take some pics once i get it back

 

so they painted it and im going to go see it after class tomorrow so ill try to get pictures up if i can

 

so i went to the shop and snapped some pics of my car. it comes out tomorrow. im getting a red pin stripe but they had to order it and im going to paint my calipers red. and re-paint my tailights. also going to paint the grill glossy black and possibly painting the black bumper piece and the front lip but thats undecided.

 

Please dont paint the CF.

 

what carbonfiber would i paint? theres none left on the car. im going o sell the CF hood and trunk

here we go. i still am working on a few things such as red calipers, smoked corners, re-smoke taillights, hood adjustment and such but here is the final painted product

 

Looks a little funny to me with a stock body. I love the two tone, but I think it would look better if it had a kit. Then again, kits are expensive. Keep up the good work.

 

i agree, it would look alot better with a kit but its out of reach for no. :/ but eventually. for now i love it how it is

 

One thing I've seen for a 2-tone that looks great is start with a nice color in the front-top (VR) and fade to black (BB) in the rear-bottom. Looked great.

 

If all else fails...

 

I'd hit it.

^ Don't listen to rx8spiritR, two-tone with Burgundy top = +50whp! DO IT! Remember to take alot of pictures afterwards.

 

im gonna have to repaint my car.....to many two toners out now
