umm warranty wtf?
umm warranty wtf?
Alright so i bought my car on oct 31 2007 and at the time it was an 06 black with 15100 miles on it, and still had it's original warranty + the 8 year 100k mile extended warranty. I stressed via questions on numerous occasions about the other warranty they said what is nice is that it stays w/ the car for Mazdas (which is nice) and that the previous owner (female) got it then. So that translates into my car having the normal factory + 8 year 100k mile warranty
now the question i have been getting mail the last week that my mazda factory warranty is going to expire soon, and all kinds of post cards about getting an extended warranty. Why am i getting these if i already have any extended warranty? should i be concerned?

There are a zillion outfits out there offering extended warranties and many of them use fonts, logo's, etc. that make you think they are from Mazda when in fact they are not. Many of these offers are outright scams based on nothing more than acquired mailing lists.
If you have a Mazda, written, extended warranty, which it appears you do, you have nothing to worry about and can shiite can the myriad bogus mailings we all get.

son,
first of all you need to go back to school and learn some proper english grammar.
second, if you purchased a car with an extended warranty, then you have an extended warranty. if you are being cheated of this then small claims court is your next stop.
It seems that a lack of education or awareness could be the source of your confusion, but thats nothing to worry about! online school is all the rage in this modern world!

Anyways, to the OP, ignore the ignorance and better than thou mentality of Mike06, he's still a noob!
As the other helpful members of the forum have stated, you are just receiving junk mail and there is no need to worry. Ignore those letters or you can return to sender. Either way, you are covered by the previous owner's warranty, no need to worry.
Even if it is mailings from Mazda you shouldn't worry about it. Corporate efficiency is an oxymoron - especially when it comes to wasting paper for mailing campaigns. For example, I still get 2-3 mailings per year that start with something along the lines of "We know you're not a member of AAA, but now's a great time to join . . . " - despite the fact that I am a member of AAA, and have been for each of the 16 years I've had a license.
^
seriously - picking on grammar while too lazy to bother capitalizing the first word of each sentence.

when i first bought my car, the next 3 months was a continous stream of spam mail.
i went so far as to call one of the companies up. she said yes i need a warranty. i said i have an 05 with 20k miles on it. she hung up immediately. didnt even say goodbye! also, the mailings stopped.
