I'm about to order my RX-8 and I'm having trouble deciding on a color since there aren't any 8's to look at in any of the dealerships around me, they're pretty rare in my area. I tried doing a search but I couldn't find a nice close-up of the red paint, I'm just wondering if its very metallic or not. If anyone could help me out by posting a pic I'd appreciate it.

 

Try a search... I'm sure I've seen a close up picture here somewhere.

The red is VERY nice.

It's got an even coverage of metallic flakes in it, but unless the light hits it just right (like the pic above), you're not overwhelmed with the flakes.

The wife says she constantly gets comments about how great the paint is.

I wish I was painted red with metalllic flakes in me.
