Definitely on again for this year, but they haven't put out the actual dates yet.

 

GREAT news! I remember hearing something about them shutting that highway down so I was worried...

 

It's usually happens during the first full week of September.

 

Which is why we should make the dates in early august when anyone in college hasnt returned to school yet and the roads will be no problem. And warmer, less chance of sliding off the road!!!

 

They had a maintenance closure of a bridge that was the direct route from the lodging to the Dragon. It reopened pretty soon after. The indirect route was much longer but a fun drive. Still an "uprated" number of cops there from what I've read.

It's not that cold in early September!
I would guess the roads to be more crowded in the summer with vacationers, right?

 

yeh i suppose- just kinda rough on some of us to start school in late august then plan a few missed classes in the first month! I know thats why Feras and few others werent there this year. Are you going to DGRR, Pat?

 

DGRR is not at the best time for me. I'll have to wait for BOTD.
