extended warranty question

I bought my 04 used with 43k miles and considering purchasing extended warranty to cover for future issues that may come up.

Has anyone purchased an extended warranty online? If you did, are they good?

Thanks

It should even cover your rental car costs if the shop doesn't have a loaner.

I always buy the extended warranty - it has saved me $$$ many times - I am currently at 55K but have bumper to bumper extended to 100K, $100 deductible. Make sure you find out what the deductible is.

You get what you pay for. The Mazda plan is much more, but covers more things, and more importantly uses new parts to fix your car. Most cheap, bargain basement warranties use USED parts, straight form junkyards, not remanufactured parts, USED parts. Read the fine print.

^true - and, the different levels of extended warranty (assuming you're looking at a good one) often don't differ that much in price from a basic to a bumper to bumper.

Many extended warranties have loop holes.

Don't buy what you don't read in fine print.

Go to the dealer or the extened warranty company. Get a copy. Take it home.

Read it and understand it.

Then you be the judge.

bought my car used with 40K on it. Went to mazda to buy an extended warranty and they told me they only extend the warranty when u first buy the car. Afterwards they wont do it so u have to go with an aftermarket company. I ended up going with warranty direct and got the full coverage for 5 years and/or 100000 miles which starts right after the regular one expires.

I purchased one for my stove (kitchenaid)and if I didn't I would have had to fix it like 3x already!! So YES get the warranty...

BTW if u plan on keeping your car get it. I have the 160,000km one.
