It will not work in automatic climate control mode... The US version does not have the sensors to give the HVAC the proper readings.

That said how do you know it works for the US model in normal mode?

does the screen shows the mp3 song's name?

 

Yes sir.
It shows MP3,CD,and MiniDisk: Album,Artist and Song.
In case of MP3 it also shows the Directory in which specific track is stored to.In other words if you have 4 folders on the CD, folder1 appears as CD1, folder2 as CD2.etc..
So you can separate your tracks with ease.
