wow! I like it a lot! I just don't really like the taillights. And the rear bumper looks a little weird...I can't really put it into words. But I still like it nonetheless. It'll probably grow on me.

this picture fits the spy photoshoot. the clear marker on the side, and the bigger opening. not to mention the rear bumper looks the same, the tails look the same, and the wheels do too if i recall correctly.

 

i think it's an improvement. I'm interested if the new rear bumper will fit on the older rx8's. If so I'd be in the market for one.

 

i like the tails...id probably have them smoked, but it would be nice to have twin LED rings in the tail lights.

other than that the car looks good, it would fir as a nice refresh

Nope, reflectors. Like most other Mazdas, it looks like the new taillights don't have the red reflex reflectors integrated into the taillights, so they put them towards the bottome of the bumper. Check out the rear of the 3, 6, or even the FD RX-7.

 

I really really like the wheels on the car.

Well, the only thing I have to say is that I wish the foglight would stretch from one end to the other. Instead of just being in the middle. Not sure if I am making any sense?

 

Oh, and I don't think that the car shown in necessarily the RS (or R-Spec), but just mentioning in the article that there will be one. This looks more like just the facelift. The Recaro seat that is shown (with "Type RS" next to it) is actually an old press photo from the limited RX-7 RZ from 2000.

 

ew. i'd take the wheels, leave the rest.

 

ill take the upgraded led lights, wheels and maybe the sideskirts.....overall i think it looks less sporty

 

Looks legit...and frankly disappointing.
The new headlights look awful and they removed the non-functional side vents, which I liked. Now there's an odd looking vent with a side marker on top.

The new front bumper has cool looking fogs, but looks like it won't fit on old 8's and any old front bumpers won't fit on here either since the clear corner is gone. It looks more functional and it looks like the oil coolers are now protected.

The spoiler actually looks slightly different than the current OEM one...

The only item here that I wish my 8 had are the LED tails, which I have been wishing for since I got my 8.

Fronts okay, wheels are MUCH better, and the rea is ehh at best.. Not digging the taillights.
