HIDs...

Guys,
I have been looking for an OEM HID kit for a while. Does this look like a legitimate seller? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/RX-8-...em140188062597 . I would appreciate any feedback.... I dont know what questions to ask him.... Also those bulb "housings", the horizontal looking ones, look very weird.... Please help me

just out of curiosity, if i were to buy the hid headlamp entirely for the rx8, would that include the ballast? where is the ballast with the oem hid lights?

yea that lamp looks kinda odd... i don't remember seeing anything oval? mm dunno. everything else looks right tho.

definately the wrong kit, i dont know how he can claim they are for an rx8.

the ballasts and ignitors are from an rx8, it appears. the silver ballast boxes mount in a little compartment under each headlight.

it says the projectors are out of an infinity, so no way they will work at all with an rx8.
the bulbs are the wrong kind for an rx8, you need a D2S bulb for our cars, that one is a D2R which means it wasn't designed to work in a projector headlight.

your best bet would be to get an aftermarket plug and play kit for your headlights, im not sure what size bulb the halogen rx8 uses but you can find it somewhere on here. they're usually about 150$ or so.

nah those aren't the right ones. the ballasts kinda look legit but not sure. the OEM HIDs are like 4000k-6000k. definitely not 10000k

10000k is almost purple. i thought oem is 4300k. 6000k you're being more bmw'ish blue'ish. if you want most visility, 4300k is the way to go.
