16 inch winter wheels?

Will 16 inch winter wheels fit on the Sport model? The reason I ask is that I'm considering selling my 2007 GTI and buying a 2007 sport model. I'm not sure of offset, but I already have a winter setup I'm hoping to use.

Does the Sport come with allseason or summer tires? Thanks.

Sport models, with 18 inch wheels come with Summer tires. 16 inch wheels are not going to fit no matter what the offset is as it just wont clear the front brakes. 17 inch rims should be fine. Just for further information so you don't start another thread:

Stock wheels are 18*8 inch +50 offset
Tires are 225/45/18 summers

And please search around. All of this information is easily found on google. Not to mention that it is all on the Mazda USA website which you should have already looked at considering you are looking at a Mazda RX-8.
