it's very straight forward and you wont be doing anything you cant reverse.

read it a few times. print out the instructions.. and then have some fun under the hood

Foglight rewire is very easy. Just be prepared to replace your bulbs more often as they tend to get hot and burn out more quickly!

I believe you just snip the brown wire, tape off the end that goes into the wiring harness, the splice the brown wire into your parking light circut. I used a red vampire tap and wrapped it in electrical tape to keep it falling off. The hardest part was getting the tap pressed down far enough to catch the wires, you'll need a pair of pliers to do it.

The foglight rewire threads should have all the info you need

I did the rewire today. It was easy.
I did cut the brown wire. I spliced the brown wire going into the relay end to the smaller of the 2 white with red wires from the ACC relay. I used a blue splice thinky

This is different than splicing the brown wire into the parking light wire.
This way the fog lights will turn on anytime:
1. Ignition is on AND fog light switch is on.
2. Off whenever ignition is off OR
fog light switch is OFF.
This way u dont have to turn ur parking lights on.
Can be on without the headlights or with them on, hi or low beam.
Can also be on with or without the parking lites on.

If you splice it to the parking lite relay wire, parking lites have to be on for the fog light to be on.

If you need any info, how to, etc.
PM me and I can send u links to the install info.

While I did not like MazdaManics method, I did use his pics to help me figure out what was where. I rather use a splicer than solder a wire.

I have been using his ideas ever since I joined the MX-3 fourm.
He knows his stuff and goes over and above to help members.
