Nitto Invo first impressions
I just purchased the Nitto Invo 245/40/18's for my car and since I didn't see another thread about them, I am gonna tell you what I think.
The Tires grip like crazy. Great for cornering once they settle in. But they feel like they have a week sidewall. Kinda wishy-washy on the initial turn in. Makes the car feel more like a sedan than a sports car. I have heard this will happen with the wider tires, but it is a little extreme.
Road noise is fine. Nothing over the top on any road surface.
Wet traction is great, for those that live in wet areas.
I will update this thread later once I put more miles on them
Overall . . .I am not loving them. I like them, they feel fine, sound fine and ride fine .. .But they do nothing GREAT.

Well, looks like they are all at about 36 psi. So that cant be the problem, can it?
I think part of it is the wider tires and getting used to it . . . but it takes away a lot of the quick turn in capability this car is known for.
But DAAAAMNNNNN these things grip better than the stock dunlops.

The pressures seem okay, maybe even a little high for average street use.
I didn't notice any discernible decrease in initial turn-in capability with my 245/40/18 Falken RT-615's over the OE Potenzas.
Still, an interesting tire.

The other Nitto thread reminded me to update this.
It rained today. These tires are great in the rain. Even the deep gutter pools were comfy.
As for the dry . . . I really like these tires. Still dont feel super good, but at least they are predictable. PLenty of grip, with plenty of warning before you lose grip

So i am thinkin about buying some new tires and was doin a search and found this thread. So i decided to revive it a little bit and see after a little bit of time what the impressions are of the Nitto Invo is now... i think i have it narrowed down between the Nitto Invo or the Kuhmo MX. I am way currious about the Invo and i am hearing good things and one of my friends that drives an FD says that the FD guys love the MX... so ... whats your imput guys ... was the invo a good choice?
