I moved to NYC almost two months ago and I haven't brought the car. I doubt I will. NYC + RX8 = Recipe for Disaster. I have seen what NYC does to cars and I don't want my RX8 to have to see that.

I really don't want to, but it is a huge expense for something I am not using. If I want to bring it up here, my insurance will go up, plus I will need to pay at least $200, but probably more for parking. At that cost rate, I might as well just buy a vette.

The car has been in one real accident ( https://www.rx8club.com/rx-8-discussion-3/ford-f250-super-duty-vs-rx8-91214/ ). The windshield was also replaced because some kids at the same apartment complex shot it with a BB gun ( https://www.rx8club.com/rx-8-discussion-3/stupid-people-really-iritate-me-81744/ ). Both repairs were performed by John Kennedy Mazda. I was also a candidate for the new engine, that was put in, also by John Kennedy, at around 26 or so thousand miles.

I have maintained the car very well, Royal Purple has been my oil of choice and I have been religious about 3000 mile changes. I replaced the air filter with a K&N filter (not cold aire intake, just a regular box).

I currently have Richard's Short Shifter installed, it will be included.

I also have an extra set of winter tires on stock wheels that will come with the car. The car has both the Tire Repair Kit (Never Used) and also a Spare Tire (Came installed with the mounting kit, also Never Used).

Feel free to ask any questions and I will do my best to answer them. Apologizes for the pictures, the car is sitting in Philly so I can't take pictures of it very easily. You can see some pictures in the threads I mentioned. Although they aren't the most flattering, they are honest. I have been to racing classes so I have abused plenty of their cars, but always been gentle with the RX8. (That doesn't mean I don't red line it though, in fact I try to red line regularly).

I have to say, it's been a while since you'd posted about this car, and with no pictures might I add. I think this thread has been, and IS STILL dead. Let it rest in peace... no one wants your car, including you...

 

I still have this car and will officially never need it. I am dropping the price to $9k.

 

And here I am nearly 4 years later in my second RX8, lol. Still in NYC too.
