Wash+Claybar+Wash+Wax= Woah!

so this was my first time ever claying and waxing my car. the products i used were:

Turtle Wax Ice Car Wash
Mothers Clay bar
Mothers Showtime Instant Detailer
Meguiar's Gold Class paste Wax
Meguiar's Hot Shine Tire Cleaner

total was about $42 bucks. What a good way to spend 5 hours of my Saturday! The pictures don't give the car its shiny justice!

Enjoy

my favorite picture :P

I like the window reflection in the 1st pic. Next time after you clay be sure to do a swirl removing step before the wax. Also, I'll tell you a little secret. Poorboys Natty's Paste Wax (blue). You will not believe the amount of flake that pops with this stuff. Trust me....just check out my posts in the Show & Shine threads.

Haha I was just playing I have never used zaino in my life either. I would love to have my car as shiny as urs it looks absolutly amazing. Did you have to use a buffer. I want to wax my car but I don't own a buffer and don't want swirl marks all over my black car haha.

i just bought foam applicator pads, they are like a dollar a piece. i didnt use a buffer, all by hand. i used only 2 pads for the whole car, once 1 pad seemed over saturated with wax i got another 1. How many washes do u think a clay bar should last?? i have my family members begging me to do thier cars =P

an easy way not to get swirl marks is not to swirl. if you buff out the wax going in the same direction as the wind passes over the car, you should get the best results.

Good job on the detail, Jordan! One thing though, you need some clear corner's a.s.a.p. I hated the orange light on my VR, it looks weird.

The claybar really does make an amazing difference. I tell everyone my car's clearcoat was the cleanest it had *Ever* been, better than delivery even- after I had claybarred all afternoon.

I used NXT Tech wax after the claybar though and it didn't hold up nearly as well as Meguires.
