Ok i know i am gonna sound like a noob here but i have a question about tire fitment. As we all know the stock tire size is 225/45/18 but i wanted to know if I would be fine with a 225/40/18 size since that size has a lot more selection then our stock tire size. Just in case your wondering this is for the stock 18" wheels. Also if that size wont work does anyone have any suggestion on what other sizes might work? I searched about this but i just found a bunch about aftermarket wheels. Thanks.

 

if you go with the 225/40, your speedometer will be off.

you can go with a 245/40 or a 255/40

 

but will it fit fine on the wheels? thats my major concern... thanks by the way

 

yes it will fit fine, but your speedometer will read too fast.

 

I have that size mounted now. They fit fine and the 3% the speedometer is off
is not even noticeable to me. We're only talking about 2-3 mph difference.

255/35. diameter will be as close to stock as possible on the 19 inch wheels.

don't forget you will be slowly adding miles to the odometer that you did not actually drive.

Yes it adds more miles in. but the tires were much cheaper cost.
The added bonus is equal to a little bit over half the gear change
from stock to 3.77 ratio, stock being 3.55. without actually having to
crack open the diff.
Top it all off, I seem to be getting better gas mileage by 1-2 mpg.

better gas mileage? or you put more miles on the odometer? remember you are not traveling as many miles as it says anymore.
