there are so many new 8 drivers. i see at least 4-5 8s a day..
*Silver,Ti-Grey,B-Black,White,W-blue*
either just bought used or new.
ALMOST ALL OF THEM are UNFRIENDLY AS HELL man...
you can literally drive next to them
and they just mind their own business and dont give a darn **** about you!
its like DUDE we drive the same car.. its a nice car.. any recognition?
*sigh* i am asian myself.. and seriously most of them are those hardcore FOB guys
why cant they be nice?

I feel you man. I drive around the L.A. area, and im the only 8 in my city, and when i do see an 8 on the streets i catch them up and its always a older man/woman and they give me this weird look like if theyre disgusted by me. its a shame indeed

 

That's what I've been saying all along! I hope Mazda's sales on the RX-8 goes down (I know I'm going to be flamed for saying that) so that no new people that disrespects the 8 buys one! This will also make our car an exotic to some extent!

i am probably one of the youngest 8 drivers
and seriously... some of those guys dont look too much older than me
and they seriously look driving their cars!
i mean hell!! shouldnt they be they get such a nice car?

and yeah i totally agree on the hoping for mazda's rx8 sells to go down
i used to feel awesome with my car. like wow now i feel like i drive a Z or G or even a Civic!

The RX-8 is definitely a niche vehicle, but there are a lot of people who drive it and are not "into" the car as we are here on the board.

I see tons of 8s daily, most of them without a single mod.

Seeing someone wave back or even nod is more often the exception than the norm.

I was just thinking yesterday that people on this board can have an inside hand gesture when we pass each other.. Something like the letter "R" in sign language.

Just when i go to mt. Sac wich would be tomorrow at 7pm i go every wed. and yup 18 and no drop my bro had problems w lowering his car everyone says it will handle better but i just dont wanna be worring of hitting the tires or pot holes

^^^^^yep!!! ive seen at least 10 8s driven by older people and they just dont give a damn...on the other hand i see older people in thier 7s and they give me the thumbs up and try to conversate

 

unfriendly or just oblivient to the correlation. i wave to all teh 8 drivers in my area fontana/rancho cucamonga/ontario most of the time they just stare back.

 

I ALWAYS chuck a deuce @ them......most just stare @ me like I have 2 heads.....One old bitch always ignores me, and I swear one of these days she WILL acknowledge me.
