Since i purchased the rx-8, it has been plauged with problems. Rarely the engine jugs along and the entire car shakes back and forth at about 2500 rpm. After installing an AEM Cold Air Intake about a month ago the engine has died twice after coming to a stop at a stop light after periods of moderate stress the rpm drop to below 800rpm but can be started back up immediately. To date, it has 47k miles on it and i am really wondering what to do possibly before the warranty expires and im left for the vultures. Is there a repair? It is my fault?

 

take it to a dealership. your motor mounts are probably bad.

or buy some, and replace it yourself.

 

and make sure you put the stock air filter back on first. don't be another owner who has to cal MNAO to complain that their dealer is voiding their warranty because of a mod, even if it's not the cause of the problem.
