Saturday fun in the 8....(no 56k)

Hooray for getting new tires!!!

Pics

2 videos, sorry for the lack of sound

If you look close in the second video, you will see pieces of Potenza flying around...and yes I picked it up, well everything but the small stuff anyways : )

The aftermath : D

I may sound stupid for saying this but.... those are some of the nicest burnouts I've ever seen. The tire marks are absolutely uniformed and perfect.

No, I just turn the wheels, kick it up a few thousand rpm's and let out the clutch...from there you can just feather it and do cookies for as long as you want to really. This was a total of about 3 cookie 'sessions' I guess you would call them. I think it's on the first video but I tried to at the very end do a brake stand and just burn out but it just wouldn't do it.

Renesis, I noticed that after I posted the pic on another forum, it is almost uniform, sorta poetic or at least artistic....but strange they ended up that close on both 'sides'.

Yes, Deedubb, I agree, but since I don't do it hardly ever....probably not a huge deal to go out and beat on it once in a while

For the record, I am gonna post this on youtube because I am sic of seeing all the sissy donuts on there and now I had an excuse to do cookies : P

looks like you had fun toasting your tires. it is always fun to shred tires when you know new ones are on the way.

an uptight moron? I'm not the one destroying my car. You really think these cars were made for that? And knowing that this isn't held in any high regards by a future buyer, I highly doubt you'll disclose this childish abuse.

giving my profession a bad name? How?
K, now you are officially a f***ing idiot. Anyone can just look at your posts to see why you responded in a negative way to a relatively innocent post, and that is probably what he did simply to find out if that is always how you post. It's the internet gtfo it. You're just pissed that he called you out.

Oh yeah, I just ruined a perfectly good RX8 by doing cookies ONE time before I got new tires. I am sure that that is definately something I need to let the future buyer know as they might buy the car and have a wheel fall off. I know this car was not made to be abused that's why I don't do this all the time. Once in 6 months and probably never again now that I have new rubber....oooh ahhhh.

Architect, I am such a childish sob that I went back and picked up most of the rubber. How many immature people would have the consideration to do that. My father is an ASE certified Master Auto Tech and all through my life has taught me to respect vehicles. I take the best care of this car that I can, but if I can't ever do the occasional strip of rubber then why buy a car like this? Did you buy your Z06 to cruise high school parking lots or is it more of a toy. I could have just kept my Alero and had a docile driving experience. I bought this car, and if it can't handle 5 minutes of abuse out of it's entire life then wtf.

Speaking of abuse you have a DRY 125 shot on your 'Vette with no EMS or retune from what I see? What are you using to keep it from running lean? Make sure to tell the future buyer you had N2O on there, I am sure you will disclose it.

2k4 - nice job. It is fun to play a little every now and then.
Where did you find such CLEAN asphalt? No cracks, no dips, not even an oil stain. ( but now plenty of tire marks )

And to any pessimistic haters out there . . . . If you can not see the fun in doing a couple burnies . . . . you have forgotten what is important in life . . .. go kill yourself

It is just a work parking lot, well shared with the airport anyways. That portion of the lot was just put in a year or two ago due to insufficient parking...
