I have a performance package for my 07 on backorder with Mazdaspeed Rims, Cold Air intake, chrome accents and a spoiler. But a debate has sprung up amongst my friends as to whether or not to get the spoiler installed. Apart from its moderately functional purpose, some believe the lines of the RX-8 should be left alone, and some think that the spoiler would improve the look.

What do you guys think? Would my 8 look better with or without the spoiler?

At the time I ordered my car, I got the stock rear wing. I'm not saying I regretted it but if I'd do it over again, I'd probably get a lip spoiler instead.

I prefer the spoiler. Gonna get as many opinions as there are people here.

Pick what you prefer, cause the great thing about the 8 is walking out and smiling looking at. Make yourself happy.

 

Same here, I have the stock spoiler on my car. For some reason, an 8 without the spoiler looks sorta fat to me... fat and bland.

Personally I like the look of the spoiler. I think the 8 looks weird without it, but that's just my opinion. You should go with that you like. It's going be your car.

 

its your car to decide on but I'm a park bench fan (let the flaming begin) if its on an aggressive bodykit but with the appearance package I'd say to go with the OEM style spoiler since I don't really like the look of the mazdaspeed spoiler on the appearance package.

 

It really depends. I've seen some and they're pretty nice while others think it's rice. It just depends on the one someone uses. Do you have a pic of your spoiler?

 

i don't have one on right now since I'm still deciding on which "park bench" I want to buy...I used to have the OEM style but not anymore

 

i like the stock spoiler i got it about five months ago looks great it's not too exagerated like the cheap spoilers that most other cars have they look like f#$@!ng space ships i like to keep my rx-8 looking good and not so exagerated

I think the 8 looks better with a spoiler. If you want to keep it clean, at least get the lip spoiler.

I'm not a big fan of the stock spoiler, but really love the Mazdaspeed one. It's pricey, but I think it's worth it.

I just got my 04 BB rx8 a few months ago, and i just added the OEM mazda spoiler, because it didnt come stock with it, and i think it makes it look more agressive, sporty, and i like the look alot more.

 

I'd rather go with the MS spoiler.

IMO i feel that the MS wing looks better with the full MS body kit. i think that just the MS wing alone looks too out of place, and the OEM spoiler looks better without any kit because it flows nicer with the car...just my 2 cents..

 

If you want a spoiler get the Mazdaspeed one and it looks good.

Im a fan of the spoiler as well. When i bought mine they didn't have any on the lot with a spoiler so they had to go find me one somewhere.. But to each his own.

When i bought my 8 i DID NOT like the 8 without the spoiler at all... But after seeing so many nicely moded 8's on here and around town without spoilers it has really grown on me... I still love my spoiler but the look without one has grown on me for sure.
