WTB: Passenger Side Front Fender SS
WTB: Passenger Side Front Fender SS
hey just dented my front fender on the passenger side. Anyone have one for sale? that'd be great. it'd be even better if it was sunlight silver. Are there any websites that sell this part, or is it dealer only? thanks
Try www.car-part.com . one of the largest online used part inventories in the nation. Just put in the part you're looking for, your zip, and the local salvage yard who has it should pop right up. It should say what condition the fender is in before you purchase it, so if it doesn't say damaged it should be clean.
Oh, and you'll be very lucky if you can find one painted SS. Most likely you'll have to get it painted. Your local body shop should be able to do that for around $150 - $200 bux. The thing that sux about repainting sheetmetal, though, is that in order for it to look right on the car, they will have to blend the paint in to an adjacent panel (a.k.a., your front door), which equals more time / money.
My advice? go through your insurance... that's why it's there. it may cost you your deductible, but at least once the car is done it will look like new. For you to do it yourself, it's a pretty big hassle and can get pretty expensive.
