I sold my 8 a few weeks ago. Jumped on a 05 Mini Cooper S JCW which is just as fun to drive. I still find my self browsing this forum alot. Guess Old habits die hard I guess.

we tend to keep alot of past owners, probably cuz it's a tad more of a mature forum compared to others.

I still haunt this place. Heck I didn't post until I traded my 8. Weird.

I know I'll be sticking around. LS1tech is great for learning about modding, but it isn't much of a community per se.

Yeah I still follow these forums since I sold my 2004 model, post a lot too. The Wankel rotary will always fascinate me, so I keep in touch with developments.

I narrowed down my next car to 4; Civic type-R, Rx8, Mx5 and Mini Cooper S. Problem is they all are great cars in there own right with a fair balance of pro's and con's. I have to concur with the Mini Cooper S. In fact I was so impressed I was ready to get one. Unfortunately a second drive revealed quite a rattle-ly litle car, and the quirky interior was wearing a bit thin on me. But as for performance it is very impressive. Replacing the supercharger with a twin-scroll turbo gave comparable power with 18% improved fuel economy. Seriously a fun car that does impress.

But by all means, stick around!

Go test drive one. Make sure its the 210hp John Cooper Works edition.
