Super Clean VR 6sp Sport, 3K miles, 20 pics! NJ

This is a 2005 RX8 that I purchased NEW in October of 2006 (warranty good till 10/2010). It is a 6-speed Sport package version with approximately 3K miles and fitted with the following options;

-spare tire
-appearance package (front lip and side skirts)
-rear wing
Original MSRP was $30,455

It currently has 245/40/18 Dunlop Wintersport M3 snow tires with lots of tread mounted and the barely scuffed OEM Bridgestones are included (taken off at 1300mi). The entire car is mint, super clean, and I have the pics to show it. Enjoy the show

No bugs or rock chips!

I covered the side markers with clear red vinyl. I think it blends nicely with the VR color. Can be removed easily if you desire. The fogs are covered in Lamin-X yellow film. Also can be removed easily.

I've clayed and waxed this car several times already. The tire dressing is also water based, not silicone so no dryrot or browness here. Some photos of the finish:

Some shots to show the cleanliness:

The inside

The only modification I made to the car was the addition of MB Quart 1" tweeters. I have the stock tweeters also and can revert back to those if you wish.

The mileage

I always drive the car up to temperature shifting at 3-4K RPMs. Ive never shut it off cold and hence never had any flooding issues (or any issues for that matter). It did complete Mazda's most recent recall and received the typical new plugs and a reflash. The oil has been changed 4 times so far using Castrol GTX 5w-20, the first time being the day I drove it home. Ive also used IDEMITSU Premix at fuel fillups and will include 3 bottles with the sale.

I love this car and hate to sell it but I really need a pickup since buying a house a few weeks ago (which you can see in the hood reflection in one of the pics). Between the house and my 1year old daughter, I just need something that fits my lifestyle better.

Price: $20,000

No, sorry.

I dont want to come too far off the asking price. If I dont get close to it, I will just keep the car as a garage queen and still buy a pickup for the dirty work/daily duties.

Thanks for the inquiry.

Hi! I'm interested in the car. What town in Central NJ do you live in? When is it available to be seen?

And I was going to offer

$16,500!!
Ones man treasure is another mans junk..ie one thinks ones car is the best..other person does not really like it that way..wants it his way.

Good luck selling this cutie.

BTW, I have heard this many a time before,
"IF I DONT GET WHAT I WANT, THEN I WILL JUST KEEP IT."
Think what it really means.

Talk about some lowballers, 16.5 on a 1 year old car that originally cost over 30K? This isn't a Buick, 45% depreciation is a bit steep don't you think?

That's why I'm going to sell mine locally in autotrader. The forums always seem to have the biggest lowballers.

Thanks Cosmos and good luck on your sale.

Its ok for people to lowball though. You have to expect it, its part of the game. Some sellers really are desperate and Im sure many of us have seen cars sell for way less than what they were worth. I know I have....

Just giving...

a bump to a sweet looking car, just not a free bump. You didnt think I was serious on that price did you? 18k or 19k, well maybe but no way less than that.
Just that the 08s are coming out in a month or so will make this one a year older but not any worse, its still a sweet ride.

I hope you get what you are asking, the 05 value down here is 18K if brand new.
Picked up my VR sport last year for 18.5 with 8K miles.

8K miles is low but still almost 3 times the usage of my car. To some, that matters. Im happy to wait for the right buyer.

SOLD thru autotrader....and for close to what I was asking. Surprisingly, this proved to be the worst place to sell this car.
