My '06 RX8 is coming up on 15k and my dealer is suggesting a $79 4-wheel alignment. Is he rushing things or shall I have it done now vs Oct. for my next oil change? Thanks

I think the mazda dealer is pretty awesome for some things. 4 tires mounted and balanced for 29 bucks!

 

that's a pretty good price for alignment. If you want certain camber specs, take it elsewhere but if you just want a "normal" alignement then let the dealership do it

Hell, I get my alignment done 4 times a year and it requires taking the front bumper off to make the rack.

If you were to be able to get it up the ramps for the rack would the bumper scrape the rack just sitting on it?

 

No, but it blocks the lasers.

 

ah, bummer. my guy doesn't use lasers. But I've got some equipment coming so I am about to fire him and I will be my guy.

 

Ask them for a printout(Before & After) so you know you're not getting ripped
