Cool Info on adding a JL Audio W7 sub. What the best size to fit?

I just got my RX-8 3 weeks ago and I am planning on adding a 10in JL Audio W7. First I want to know is, will it be easy to install a JL Audio W7 sub with a JL Audio 500/1 amp to the BOSE system I have in my RX-8? Second question, which JL Audio W7 sub box will fit? (H.O. box or Prowege box)

neither of those boxes will fit.
here is a link to the dimensions of the 8's trunk

you will probably need a 4080 box (do a forum search for 4080) or a zenclosures box (do an ebay search for "rx8 box")

and yes, it's easy to install if you know how to install a sub.

As long as you can get a box that will fit im sure the install would be pretty easy. I've never worked on an rx8 before but in celicas people usually mount the amp on the back of the back seats for a non custom installation that doesnt have fiberglass and such. with that setup i would run atleast 4 gauge power and ground. an a cap if you can afford it all. Good luck to you. I plan to put (2)10w7's in my celica =]

Biggest trunk problem-space. I have a kicker10L7 in 1 cubic foot internal that sits perfectly down in the recessed portion. It's a perfect fit and won't slide anywhere. I have a 400 watt class D amp (small) under the back part of the driver's seat. The wiring goes to an unused terminal in the circuit/fuse box on the driver's side under the hood. You see no red wires, or fuse holders when I pop the hood. My bass gain **** is located in the center console besides the drink holders. Just a ****. I don't know if this helps you, but I hope it gives you some ideas. If you're going to put a ported W-7 in the trunk you'll need a custom box.
