So, today I was coming home from work and got on to 95 South. Like usual I hit it just to meet my redline a day regiment. I shift smoothly through all gears. No grinding, no missed gears, nice and smooth.

After getting to 6th and cruising at about 75 mph for a few minutes I look down to see my check engine light on. I get really worried for a second so I slow down to 65 mph. It says on for less than a minute and then it blinks at me about 6 or 7 times and finally goes off.

Car didn't go into limp mode or anything. Just blinked at me. Oil pressure was fine, so was the temp guage. I added oil a few days ago and I'm not due for an oil change for another 1000 miles.

Any suggestions, I'm afraid to drive it now.

 

check your sparkplug wires.

how many miles are on the car? possibly plugs/wires. etc. bad gas maybe.

 

32500 miles on it. Its a 04.

I'm gonna check the plugs in the morning before work.

I don't think it would be the gas cause I fill up at the same place and I'm already half a tank into the gas.

 

its probably a misfire caused by plugs or coils or something
