what body kit do u have? Sticky!?

i have read the sticky for..all rx8 bodykits. It seems not personal or informative enough though. Altough it shows alot of nice kits....only some have anwered these important questions?
I would like to know....from people who already have a kit installed and live in the u.s.
1.What kind did you buy?
2.From where?(post site)
3.what was the cost including shiping?
4.Did you have a profesional shop install it?...if so how much time in hours did it take to install?,,and how much time to paint?
5. What were the fitment issues and how were they resolved?
6. from 1-5 ...5 being hardest....what was the install like?
7. How happy are you with the outcome?

i think the first thing that you should mention is the specific bodykit(s) that you're interested in. That would help the readers answer your questions. In terms of JDM bodykits, there are some vendors on this forum that can help answer some of your questions. Keep in mind that JDM bodykits take an awfully long time for them to arrive. For example, a lot of customers from J-on-Demand had problems waiting 7+ months for their JDM stuff. Fitment issues and costs will vary among members. The saying goes "you get what you paid for." Hopefully this answered some of your questions.

thanks. Yea i noticed that thread about people waiting for jondemand...that sucks. Are their no importers that allready have jdm kits in stock? I like thr revolver"" front...dont think thats jdm though. I like the buddy club one two..but that apparently isnt jdm as well and someone said bad fitting.. I guess true jdm , i like the veilside and the raven. I only need to replace and have money for a true jdm nose...or a knock off kit.
I got a pm from LAZI...i guess" he runs joe on demand....which im a lil scared of now cause he seems to busy for anyone...he said he could get me the mint blue kit shiped for 695$....Anyone have any expierience with this kit. ? i kinda like it.
I pmed him back about instalation(apparently he had the kit on his car), and about how long it would take to get here. No REPLY YET...IT Seems HE IS ver busy. ANYONE got a phone number for him or the company jondemand?

Im only gonna break it again im sure...this is like the 3rd nose ive gone through.
So im just looking for someone who has ANY TRUE jdm noses...shipping from the states. My car is allready at the bodyshop....so time is of the essence. I just know i dont want the stock nose AGAIN.

ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT
THANKS

I'm not sure if you know, but lazi is not working for J-on-demand anymore. He has quit the place. Go to the Good Guy/Bad Guy thread and read the thread about J-On-Demand. In terms of the mint blue kit, I think it looks really similar to the Mazdaspeed front bumper. If you think about it, the Mazdaspeed bumper might be easier to go with because you would have to paint and fit the mint blue front bumper, which require 'bodyshop' work.

To answer your question about the revolver kit, I believe that kit is the replica of the Rmagic body kit. Lazi actually has this body kit now. You would have to pay a good amount to have the revolver kit fitted and painted.

If you read the threads about bodykits, especially about the front bumpers, they say you would be better off buying the real bodykit. Of course, there are some members here who had a good experience with replicas. But, there are also many members who paid nearly the same amount or more compared to that of the real kit itself. It's really up to you. Hopefully this helps.
