hey everyone,
I just picked up an 04 rx8 gt (CA car with 27k miles) this weekend and I am loving it. I came from the DSM world and theirs no looking back. I really love the smoothness of the rotary engine.

A few questions though, I know the 04's had a couple of recalls. Does anyone know how I can check if they were performed on my car (do I take it to a dealer or call a number or what?). Also, I saw on the faq that if you plan to drive it hard, its not a bad idea to add some 2 cycle oil to the gas. Is it a good idea just to stick some in every tank of gas for preventative measures? Also, synthetic the way to go with rotarys? Thanks in advance and I look forward to making rx8club my new hangout.

 

I'm in the same boat as you so Im gonna monitor this post. Just picked up an 04 GT as well(more miles though) and I'm loving it. I would like to throw in a question as well, any suggestions on spark plugs??

Welcome to the club guys. Head over to the tech garage forum and poke around. There is enough information there to make your head explode.

Just go to the dealer and have them pull all the recall records / and service records for your vehicle. I suggest have all the recalls performed.
