I Just Got The Eibach Pro Kit Lowering Springs For My 2006 Mazda RX-8 6 Speed And I Was Wondering How Do You Change Them, Does Anyone Have Any Advice They Can Give??? Is It Hard Or Should I Pay A Shop To Do It?? Please Let Me Know ASAP!!!!

I'll be doing this soon. I tried the other day but it appears someone stole my jack stands.

 

Don't do it unless your mechanically inclined or have a freind who has done it before.

 

better have a spring compressor. You can rent one at AutoZone

I was able to do it without one, although it would definitely be easier with one

 

and safer.

 

I was really in no danger doing it without a compressor... Taking the springs off I just pointed the assembly at a wall, no cars around, stepped on the shock to hold it in place, and zipped it off with an impact wrench. It didn't even shoot off, just kind of jerked.

 

for safeties sake, I like using a spring compressor. Plus it makes things go back together easier as well

 

I was just planing on doing what i've done in the past. Put a car jack under the controll arm and take the shock bolt out. then lower it down slow. Same backwards to put them in.
