18x9.5 tire size

I'm thinking about getting a set of Sport Max 006 wheels. 18x8.5 front, 18x9.5 rear 35mm offset.
1. Would these fit with that offset?
2. What size tires should I get? I don't want want thin tires. I like the comfort of the stock tires. My car is not lowered but i'd like to lower it an inch or so in the future

thanks!

Man, screw the staggered setup! Go 18x9.5 45mm offset on all the corners and run 275/35's or even 285/30's!!!

By thin do you mean lower profile?
You need to keep your sidewalls at roughly 100mm (like stock 101.25)
So 275-35-18 gives you 96.25. Your speedo will over read by a few percent.
265-40-18 gives you 106 Your speedo will under read by a few percent.
255-40-18 give you 102
245-40-18 gives you 98

You can re-calibrate your speedo.

stagger sucks you can fit 18x9.5 +35 all around but its a very aggressive fitment and youll have to roll fenders and may still rub. 275/35 may not fit with that offset, but on the 9.5s you could run 265 or maybe even 255

thanks for the info! yeah by thin i mean the profile. I don't want a lower profile than stock.

255-40-18 seems to have the most options available.
for 8.5 in the front 235-40-18 would be fine, right?

well, the profile is actually a percentage of the width. since you're going with a wider tire, you may or may not have to go lower than 40. just be sure to check the overall diameter of the tire is about the same as stock

you want 255/35-18 and it will fit on both sizes, or you could run the narrower size on front as you suggested

depending on the actual brand/model tire though 9.5 +35 will be close to the rear fender lip with a 255, maybe even rub ... it just depends

So is +45 the best offset for 18x9.5 to ensure no rubbing?

yes, 9.5 +45 fully clears inside and out for anything up to 275, 285s supposedly clear but I don't have enough specifics to recommend it for any and all tires that size

is a 2% difference in diameter bad? besides the speedo being off.

the only issue with tire diameter is the speedometer being off.
