New to the forum, but calling all RX8 owners in the San Antonio area. Is their a club in town? Too many 350Z and G35 down here.

u should come out to the auto cross at the AT&T center. from 11-3pm . u might be able to find a 8 out there, Im going to be thier tomorrow with my wwp first time attending one. should be interesting

People have tried to get a meet together but nothing ever gets going and i know thiers enough for a meet just noone is organizing it together.

 

There are a lot of 8's here. I see them a lot and unfortunately the color I see most is silver. I stopped posting in the spotted thread b/c it was useless.

281N right past the airport. basically the northwoods area. There are from my visual memory 3 other SS 8's in the immediate area along with a few others.

haha no. I have a license plate you wouldn't forget if you saw it though. I saw a STI this past weekend with the shocker sticker on it and thought that was a brilliant idea.

 

I always wonder about the San Antonio guys as I get out there a few times a year but I have yet to actually meet any of them.

 

There is no rx8 club here. 8 owners never come out to meets here.

 

I remember Hawk tried to start something a while back, but it is a tough crowd here to get people out to a meet. btw nice to know your still out there, you vanished for a while. flying under the radar I see.

 

Heh...we got more SA guys in Austin for a tech day than they have ever had show up to a meet...

i see this thread is about a month old but i'd really love to be a part of any gatherings that anyone comes across......
when i bought my first rx-8 in '05 there were like 4 of us in the city LOL, now there are so many..... and only few wanna play on the road!! i own my pretty shinka now and wanna be more proactive with showing off
i'm def down for getting our 8's together, i see a few car clubs meeting at the forum at that parking lot beside chili's pretty often. never any 8's tho....

a month and 1 year to be exact I'll let you know if there is gonna be a thursday night meet or not cause they been gettin broken up by the popo...you should go friday to biff's at 35 and topperwein. myself and a couple others go out there and hangout sometimes. If ur interested lemme know and we can get some others out there too.

definitly interested in going to the monthly weekend meet ups, i am originally from cali, have been here since '05 but still not familiar with some of the local places. i've never even heard of biffs, but will see what i can get away with to get out there on a friday night.
even getting everyone together for a lunch meet locally during the weekend would be cool. theres a place on 281 and thousand oaks called ******* that has a huge parking lot, good food and prices. would love to see how everything plays out :D

i've gotten used to the weather, its really not that bad.
i have NOT gotten used to the drivers. in my first rx-8 i got rear-ended twice in stand-still rush hour traffic. (and no, i didnt make a sudden stop LOL, i was just chillin, waiting for the traffic to start its grueling slow *** pace home)....and twice BAM!! i'm like, damn, for real??? so, two new rear-ends courtesy of dare i say it, damn old *** female drivers, not to mention getting run off the road like 30 times by semi's and big *** trucks just cuz they decided to not see my little *** and take my lane!! omg, it KILLS me.....
2 days after i bought my shinka, wow, almost got taken out by another damn SUV, just swerved right into my lane.......i didnt hit the breaks tho, i hit the clutch, downshifted, and hit the gas LMFAO, and was GONE, scratch free thankfully!!
so yeah. weather, feelin it okay. drivers, not so much.
area is okay where i live, lmfao, where i work is not spectacular, havent been downtown yet cuz my hubby has veto'ed. said he doesnt feel like spending the evening playing bodyguard so i havent gotten to experience ANY of the night life.
how do you like it??

 

San Antonio has a night life? STFU GTFOH.... if this scene is a night life then what the hell did i exp on the east coast?

When i was stationed in NC, all the bad *** clubs that were with in 3 hour range spoiled me. These clubs here in town are nothing but meat markets. Small dance floors, women that really aint all that, over priced drinks, OMG a cover charge, and jealous exes stalking the place (will tel you later about that one).

Maybe one friday night when it cools down, a group of us can run out to the drag strip and see what kind of cars they have running out there. Last time I went, they had some nice imports and american muscle.

 

im not sure that i like san antonio...in my opinion there is not many places to go...but what do i know im only 18 and im not fond of the weather or drivers...but i like the area that i live in

 

haha, thiats prob why i'm vetoed to go.....one of my girls from cali wants to visit and hit the scene and i'm like, uh mami....I think its nonexistant....
