help needed with lowering springs!!!

i just put some new wheels on my car (17x7) with some tires (245/45). but still have quite a gap. I tried searching but i think that just confused me even more. from what i hear the tein s tech springs are what the majority of members have. but if i put those on will i rub? also heard about the tannabe springs. also i am putting on the autobahn front and fabolous rear. would i have problems with speed bumps and such? any advice would be great!!!

i have bigger rims that you (stock 18x8's) and have 245/40/18's all around + s-techs, i don't' rub at all.

i have the same set up, and have no problems. the only thing you have to worry about is curb stops in a parking lot. as for speed bumps with a body kit, be careful. you should be alright.

how did you get a 245 tire on a 7" wide rim? That is too wide of a tire for that rim? I am running 225/45/17 with s-tech and while ther is a gap it is less than stock and actually looks nice. There will certainly be no rubbing provided you use the correct offset.

rubbing is all about width and offset.

the stock 18's are a 8 inch width, 245's fit them but 245's would never fit a 7 inch rim.
