I noticed that my 06 GT (stock) tends to spin the rear tires fairly easily on wet roads. DSC & TSC are on. Stock Dunlop's pressure is 32psi stock as well. Any thoughts? These days I have to feather the gas pedal to minimise rear wheel spin. Geez... and I thought it has low torque.

 

Get some good tires and you will understand how bad the stock tires are.

 

Replace OEM's with a real set of tires...

 

The Dunlops, while good in the dry and pretty civil, is not the greatest wet tire. However, mine aren't that twitchy in the rain. How long have you had the tires?

 

Mine aren't as bad in the wet either... predictably slippery, but better than some of the crap OEMs I had.

 

Modulate throttle.

 

get better tires. OEM tires are pretty much overpriced garbage

 

Get an alignment and dial in some rear camber and toe in

 

adding rear camber will only reduce the contact area and make them spin more

delhi's coming from an AWD, turbo lagged Saab 9-2x (you have to really rev to get going out of 1st). comparatively, the RX8 has an acute throttle response. i found this throttle response rather twitchy at first (especially at the track), but one's right foot and brain adjusts accordingly.
stock dunlops are not bad either.
