Red face tire pressure light blinks..and blinks..

so ive taken my car back to mazda 3 times since i bought it to fix the tire pressure light. It starts blinking after a few minutes of driving.. Every time they are like oh it was your tire pressure. oh it doesnt blink when we drive it. They are so full of crap. Oh, mam, your valve stem caps werent on tight enough. I hate nelson mazda! what is causing this... we have established the fact it is NOT my tire pressure being off. Thankyou

Really!? Does "we have established " mean .... "they say 35-38 is what its supposed to have.."?

Suggest you take the effort to read the manual...where you would find the RIGHT answer... or even inspect the WRITTEN notices attached to your car in plain sight (think of it like a laundry tag for a car).

Then do what it says and put the correct air pressure in your tires. Understanding your car on your own rather than relying on others is a wonderful ability

Sounds to me that the gauge your using might be off. Buy a digital gauge and test the tire pressure while its cool. Reason its turning off after a while is the tire is warming up and the psi is increasing. Also it could be high pressure. I went to a gas station once and tested low on all my tires and filled them back up. Next thing i know the warning buzzer and light went off. Bought a digital gauge and come to find out that the gas station pressure gauge was off by 15 psi. I almost blew up my tires. Since then i have never had a problem. I suggest you put a little more air in the tire after you check with a digital gauge. Sounds to me theres no problem at all except borderline low pressure. The sensors should go off below 26 psi and above 49 psi.

The light stays on solid when it is out of pressure. It blinks when there is a problem. Does no one else understand this system. It is universal between all car manufactures. If it is blinking there is a problem. They should be able to pull a code out of the module and tell you what is wrong. Have them look again.

blinking = problem w/ one of the tire pressure sensors

have it replaced under warranty, they should be able to determine which sensor is broken, if not, go to another dealership that does.

Take the car to another dealer. You're wasting your time with that one. Or call the customer support number in your manual to resolve a fairly simple problem.

i took it AGAIN.. they are now saying one of the monitors must be haywire. They are going to replace them all and go from there. It's def not the tire pressure ..i dont even bother messing with it myself..they have been doing it all. It blinks and stays on blinking.. never shuts off until the car is turned off..no noises or anything. Thanks

Thumbs down same symptom here...

Mine does the same thing. Every time I drive more than 15 miles, it starts blinking. Shutting the car off resets the computer, so I get another 15 blink-free miles...
Dealer messed those up when changing to the last set of tires. They then tried 3 times to fix it by changing the sensor that gives the "wrong" signal. No success. So I live with it... maybe at the next tire change, it will go away ;o)
Indeed, incorrect pressure is a solid light plus an initial beep.
If anybody finds the fix, I'm all ears... dealer would just keep my car and drive it around, so what's the point? And yes, that was at the best dealer in my area (the others "disqualified" on even smaller jobs messed-up).
