Exclamation Desperately Needed: Positive Battery Terminal Connector

Ah! please help me, i'm desperate! my battery recently started leaking acid onto my positive terminal connector, and it's completely corroded away, about to fall off...

im holding it in place with like a zip-tie for now. my dealer refuses to fix it for free because they saw i had my subwoofer power line running to the connector. i asked how much it would cost to buy a new terminal connector and they said 2900 dollars because they could only get the whole wiring harness, and not just that one piece!

below are pics of the part im talking about... note that it might look a little different than yours because i have the metal end-piece of my power-wire still attached, as the bolt got so corroded, i couldnt loosen it. also, i really only need the metal part that attaches to the actual round battery terminal sticking out, not the big fused part as well

do you have that part, or any parts that would be useful in replacing my corroded connector??

$2900? They must be out of their minds. Tomorrow when I'm back at the office I'll see what I can do for you. Call me if you can.

bullshit, you can order the positive terminal separately, i JUST did last week to replace MY corroded positive terminal

$46 MSRP, I got it for $24, Mazmart should be able to get you similar prices

here's the part # according to my sales invoice: F154-66-760B

and here's my thread of the SAME problem you have (except mine's worse as it completely melted off my positive terminal lol)

Unfortunately some dealers have staff that aren't completely up to speed, well, kind of like most other businesses. I hope this was a genuine mistake. The harness that this terminal connects to is only $320 with the terminal. The main front harness of the car does exceed $2000 but has nothing to do with the positive terminal.

Call me and I'll make your day!

Finally I fixed my problem!

Paul at MazMart was ridiculously helpful, and I can't thank him enough.

Everyone see what happened and how it was resolved below:

Thanks a lot folks.

Some people seem to think it's 'weird science' but it has brought me benefit and satisfaction. I don't understand why some people enter the service industry who don't enjoy it or any industry for that matter. If you're a garbage man (Sanitation engineer ) or an accountant, do it because you love it and put your best foot forward.
