Transmission Failure
I recently replaced my stock clutch with an ACT aftermarket clutch. Ive had it for about a month. A few days ago I was pulling into my driveway and shifted into neutral. The car suddenly started making a grinding noise which sounded like it was coming from the clutch. With the clutch pedal pushed in the noise stopped but immediately upon releasing the pedal (in neutral) the noise which sounded like marbles in a blender came back. The transmission had no problem going into gear but I still could not let the clutch pedal out. I had my car towed to Mazda and told them what had happened. One week and 600 dollars later they told me that my transmission was destroyed and needed to be replaced. The best part is that its not covered under warranty because of the aftermarket clutch and it is going to cost me 6 grand to fix. My question is could the clutch really be the reason the tranny failed? Or what should I do?

They did but they warned it would void the warranty on the transmission. But I dont see how after only one month it would cause a problem. There were no previous signs of damage to the transmission. Im going to the stealorship tomorrow to have them show me where it was damaged and prove it was the clutch and not a mechanical mistake made on their part. If they are found to be at fault they should fix it for free right?

Tell them to prove it, then they will start trying to give you all kinds of bullshit they can come up with. Dont take any of them. just say if they cannot prove it you will talk to Mazda directly and its not going to be funny.
Then their lazy *** will start working
6K for the whole job? Get the fuxk outa here.
The Tranny itself buying new only cost 3K, fine I'll give it 200 bux shipping still only 3.2 K. It takes about 1 hour something 2 to drop the tranny, dont tell me their labor rate is 400 an hour.
Thats why I hate dealerships, they always trying to blame aftermarket parts for failure, saying that *oh OEM parts are the best*, I mean come on
