My wifes '99 Passat has 120K on it now, and runs like a champ. Is yours the V6? Your link is broken.

 

No its the L4 turbo, It still runs like a champ and like new

 

Good luck man. I myself am trying to trade my 2005 Mazda 3s for an RX-8. The seats in that car are extremely stiff and starting to take a toll on my back.
