Swoope,

I'm not sure about the 8, but I took the rotors off of my Z the other weekend (to install longer lugs & spacers) and after you take the caliper off, there should be a single screw on each rotor. Take that off and just whack the rotors from the inside out with a, rather, larger rubber mallet. They should come out.

At least your were set in there. Took my tire off today to paint the rotors, the screws fell out.

the screws are useless. they're temporary. you don't need them, as the nuts holding on the wheel will also hold the rotors in place.

my rotors were also a pain in the *** to take off. Almost gave up... we ended up taking a nice block of wood, putting it against various parts of the outer rotor, and then beating it with a mallet. The rotor will eventually come off. Also I sprayed PB Lube all over.
