Question RX-8 In NE

Hello folks,
I'm a newbie here. I love the looks of the RX-8 and I was considering it as my next car to lease, however, it seems that this nice car is not meant to handle the NE weather.

Can people please confirm if this is true?

Thank you.

You'll be fine with winter tires

we're all up north and are fine as long as you throw the winters as HC said.

+3 on the above, my last few cars have been of the sporty variety and as long as you make a good tire choice, you'll be fine.

With winter tires you will be fine. Now and then there are idiots who take the stock summer tires out in winter and complain. Any real sports car comes with summer tires.

If it's your first rear wheel drive sports car go to a parking lot when it first snows to play around and get a feel for things.

Also, there are TONES of threads about this. I do mean tones.

No, it's not true—you've been misinformed. Here's what Edmunds.com said in their Long-Term test:

"Those who have to deal with slippery driving conditions will benefit from the RX-8's perfect 50/50 weight balance and available traction/stability control system. Throw a set of Bridgestone Blizzaks on this baby and you should be able to handle most anything winter throws your way."
