For those of you who haven't followed the "who's who of NC thread" I wanted to pass some info along about the Wings Over Wayne Airshow coming up in Goldsboro, NC May 12th! I'm a SSgt in the Air Force stationed at Seymour Johnson AFB and I have secured special parking passes for my car club and have had minimal success in recruiting vehicles to attend. These passes allow us to park on the flightline with all the aircraft on display for the airshow! Now, I have 3 passes left and would like to extend my hand to you and ask for your particpation.

I have tentatively scheduled a meeting at the Cracker Barrel in Smithfield at 0600 on the 12th so, we could caravan to Goldsboro. We will be departing the CB no later than 0715, it's about a 35min drive to the front gate of Seymour Johnson. We will then get an escort to the flightline and have to be in place by 0815. The gates for the general public open at 0900 that is why we have to be there early!

Sure, just let me know when and where (probably have to be meet arounf 5-5:15 to make it to CB by 6:00).

 

Based on your handy google map over on the rx7 club, it looks like you are near capital blvd. How about we meet in the tiger direct/food lion parking lot on capital blvd (near the capital 440 intersection) at 5:15 and then head out.

I figured as much! haha Well, you guys are in for a real treat tomorrow. I was at work today finishing the little work we had to do to get ready for the show. The Blue Angels put on a full show for just us military and family on base! It was awesome!!! You won't be disappointed.
